Week 9 - The Real Jesus Is Coming Back

Jesus is coming back. Scripture is crystal clear on that. But while the American church obsesses over the timeline and debates the details of his return, the mission he gave us before he ascended keeps getting pushed to the back burner. In Acts 1:6-11, the disciples made the same mistake, asking Jesus about restoring Israel's kingdom rather than receiving the mission he was about to give them. Jesus redirected them, declaring that the timeline belongs to the Father, and then immediately charged them to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. The real Jesus is more concerned with our faithfulness to his mission than our fixation with the timeline of his return.
