Week 3 - The Real Jesus Valued People Over Religion

Religious expectations can become barriers that prevent people from experiencing God's love and grace. When we prioritize rules over relationships, we treat people as problems to solve rather than individuals to love. Jesus demonstrated this principle when He healed a man with a withered hand on the Sabbath, despite religious leaders' objections. The Pharisees had created heavy burdens through their additional rules, missing God's heart behind His commands. Jesus offers an easy yoke and calls us to value people above traditions, schedules, and religious preferences. Our Christianity should create sanctuary and rest for others, not judgment and exhaustion.
