Faith Works | Week 20
We are in the closing verses of chapter 4. This chapter has dealt a lot with our inner conduct as much as it has our outward actions. It’s the inward part of our heart that we hide from the view of others but never from the view of God. James under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit digs at those things all through the chapter. Wars and fights come from with in. He then speaks to the humility that we should have in our heart. Then he sends the warnings about judging others which is an issue of our heart. He is going to finish up what we know as chapter 4 with how we make our plans.
Let me see all the hands of the planners here. Ok now let me see all the hands of those who figure it our as you go. How does it make you planners feel that there are that many who don’t plan. How does it make you non-planners feel about those planners. There is nothing wrong or sinful about planning. There is great wisdom in planning. BTW, for those who work best in the moment, it’s you guys who shine most when the planners plan fails to happen just as they planned. If it weren’t for you nothing would happen, cause the planners got to have a meeting with their self to plan a day to plan to fix their plan that failed. Then they will get back to you. Ok back to what I planned to say.
