Lead Pastor of Hope Church
Brian planted Hope Church Danville in 1991 and has served as the Lead Pastor since that time. Brian is incredibly passionate about the local church and the multiplication of the local church. His heartbeat is to see thriving local churches increasing the volume of the Gospel in small, rural towns and communities. Brian has been married to his wife Denise since 1989 and they have three daughters.
Lead Pastor (Halifax)
Jesse followed God’s leadership to join the ministry team of Hope Church and serve as the Lead Pastor of Hope Church Halifax in July, 2015. God has truly honored Jesse’s obedience and leadership. Hope Church Halifax has grown from fifteen people to two hundred people each week, and the church continues to grow. Jesse is passionate about his devotions, community, missions and ministry. He and his wife Tammy have three daughters.
Lead Pastor (Mt. Airy)
Craig has been preaching God’s Word for almost 50 years. He has been used by God as a Pastor, as well as an Evangelist preaching the Gospel all over America. He has preached in hundreds of revivals and conferences and is best known for sharing deep truth in an understandable way. His Wisdom and experience are both a blessing to the ministry of Hope Church. He is passionate about studying, preaching, coon dogs and coming alongside pastors to challenge and guide. Craig and his wife Linda have been married for over fifty years and have one son and two daughters.
Lead Pastor (Trenton)
Nathan has basically spent his whole life in ministry. From growing up in a Christian boys home that was operated by his parents, to building a youth ministry of over 400 students, to now serving as the Lead Planter/Pastor of Hope Church Trenton. He is passionate about living a life of worship, personally discipling people to serve Jesus, and impacting the community around him. He loves serving on missions trips around the world, but also serves his own region through Young America. Nathan and his wife Carrie have one son and three daughters.
Lead Pastor (Chiefland)
Jonathan followed God’s leadership and planted Hope Church Chiefland in March of 2019 in Chiefland, Florida. Jonathan is extremely relational, has an outgoing personality and a genuine love for people. He believes strongly in preaching God’s Word, seeing people grow in their faith and community outreach. He is known for having a big heart and the ability to identify with hurting people. Jonathan has four children and Labrador Retriever named Gage, that happens to be his best friend.
Lead Pastor (Blacksburg)
Jay has served in various capacities of ministry for 15 years. He has recently been led by the Lord to plant a Hope Church in Blacksburg, Virginia. His desire is to see the Great Commission fulfilled, and to help people have a real and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Jay has been married to his wife Beth for 14 years. They have three daughters and one son.
Ministry & Media Pastor (Danville)
Clint serves as the Ministry & Media Pastor at Hope Church. He oversees all media and production, and believes that the use of media is a vital and powerful way to communicate the Gospel in our culture. He has a passion for discipleship, as well as church revitalization. Clint has spent the last 16 years in full-time ministry in which he has served as a Missionary to Paraguay, South America, as well as the Lead Pastor of a local church. Clint and his wife Tangie have three sons.
Congregational Care Pastor (Danville)
Tommy has served on staff at Hope Church for over ten years. During that time he has led youth ministry, trained and organized a security team, led mission’s teams, and now serves as the Pastor over congregational care. Tommy loves Jesus and people — and people definitely love him. He is passionate about firearms, Alabama football, food and serving God.
Youth Coordinator & Worship Assistant (Danville)
Jonathan serves as the Youth Coordinator & Worship Assistant at Hope Church, He leads and oversees our Hope Students ministry. Jonathan grew up in a home where his Dad and Mom took seriously their responsibility to disciple him well. At the age of 14 Jonathan gave his life to Jesus Christ, and almost immediately showed an interest in serving in ministry. Eventually he took a leadership position at a large youth camp and that’s where he met his wife Kristin. Jonathan loves music, memes, making podcasts and the beauty of the mountains.
Operations Manager (Danville)
Ginger has been on staff at Hope Church for almost twenty years as the financial/office administrator. However, she has never allowed herself to be limited by either of those titles, and if you were to ask her, she would say she is a servant of Jesus Christ.
Worship Leader (Danville)
Kelsey has been serving in the ministry of Hope Church since the age of twelve. After surrendering her life to Jesus she had one primary desire and that was to honor Him with her life. She does that by leading people to worship the One she adores. She also uses her art degree from Averett University to influence the creative direction of Hope Church and desires to see millennials discipled to be devoted followers of Jesus.
Student Ministries Director (Halifax)
Hunter has been actively involved in youth ministry for the past ten years. Not only has he served in the role of Youth Pastor, but he has also served as a lead director at a large youth camp/conference facility. Hunter has a contagious excitement for ministry, and his desire to see young people fully devoted to Jesus is unmistakable.
Worship Leader & Administrator (Halifax)
Amy serves as the Worship Leader for Hope Church Halifax as well as the financial administrator. She truly has a servant’s heart and believes people’s attention should be directed to Jesus in their singing and their affection. She is greatly appreciated for her voice, but she is even more appreciated for her humility. Amy’s love for Jesus and her desire to honor Him first in her life is an inspiration to everyone she encounters.
Audio/Visual Tech (Halifax)
Eric serves as the Media Director for Hope Church Halifax. He uses his skills and training in computers to not only serve that local church, but to reach people far beyond their walls with the Gospel.
