Week 18 - That You May Know

Doubt is a universal human experience that affects our faith, causing many believers to struggle with assurance about their salvation. The problem isn't that God has been unclear, but that we're looking inward at our emotions and performance instead of trusting God's testimony about His Son. God has provided three witnesses that testify to Jesus: water (His baptism), blood (His death), and the Spirit (the witness of truth). These historical realities form the foundation of genuine saving faith. The key question isn't whether we're doing enough spiritually, but simply: Do I have the Son? Eternal life rests on being united to Jesus, not on maintaining a certain emotional state. God wants believers to know with certainty that they have eternal life, living in settled confidence rather than constant uncertainty.
