Many of us spend our lives praying for God to fix our circumstances when He is actually calling us to surrender to His kingdom. While we often look for massive, visible shifts to solve the world's problems, Jesus shows us that His reign begins like a small mustard seed, moving quietly into our neighborhoods and transforming hearts from the inside out. Praying for the kingdom to come is a declaration of surrender to the authority of the True King rather than a request for Him to sign off on our own plans. By letting His rule invade our hearts today, we move past the search for a human utopia and begin to live as ambassadors of a kingdom that can never be shaken.
