You Be the Someone
The big thing that Craig wants us to remember is to be ready and not to wait. Someone else is depending on you and they don't know it.
Wanderers don't return on their own. Sheep are not keen enough or aware enough to know they have wandered far from the fold. Once they are gone, they don't have the ability to navigate back on their own. Wanderers roam from the truth, and it is the job of whoever notices the wanderer to turn him around and to help him. The rescuers get to rejoice first. Be the someone to step up and recue the wanderer. James 5:20 states "let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins." Death speaks of the outcome of their wandering and the seriousness of the actions by the wandering one. To cover a multitude of sins means to help secure forgiveness for the rescued wanderer. Be the someone to notice a wanderer and to do something about it.
Take risks of love to snatch people from the fires of judgment. Be aware of the people that you gather with each week. Don't wait on someone else to do the rescuing.
