Week 6 - The Church Is A Family

The church isn't merely like a family—it is a family, as Jesus demonstrated when He redefined family relationships to include all who follow Him. Throughout the New Testament, believers consistently used family terminology, showing this wasn't just metaphorical but a lived reality. Our cultural inclination toward isolation and misunderstanding of what church truly is often prevents us from experiencing this family dynamic. True church family involves rearranging our lives around relationships, integrating our biological and faith families, and maintaining commitment through imperfection—because both we need our church family and they need us.
