The purpose of ministry teams is to provide a vehicle for followers of Jesus to use their gifts, talents, and abilities to serve their community, on Sunday mornings, in our neighborhoods, in our city and around the world.

First Impressions Ministry

Frequency
Sundays: Weekly or bi-weekly.

Individuals join the First Impressions Team by contacting the First Impressions Team leader or by contacting the church office.

• Guest Services Parking Lot Team
The Parking Team is the “first and last face” of Hope Church. They help our guests enter and exit as efficiently as possible. If a person can smile, wave, and maintain a positive attitude under any weather condition, they are a fit for this team.

• Guest Services Greeter Team
As a greeter, you stand at one of the doors or hang out in the lobby to give a warm hello and welcoming smile. Either way, you are there to provide a friendly face at Hope Church.

• Guest Services Connections Team
The Connections Team welcomes our first time guests and also helps them to find their way around the building. They also provide general information about the opportunities and ministries of Hope Church. If you like to make people feel at home, this is for you.

• Guest Services Usher Team
Our ushers are the face of the First Impressions Team in the auditorium. They assist with seating, and also pass out or collect any items for the service, such as handouts or offering bags.

Age Based Ministry Team

• Hope Kids “Littles” Nursery Team
Frequency
Sundays: Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly
Entry Points
Individuals join the Nursery Team by contacting the “Littles” Team leader and filling out an application and completing a background check.

• Hope Kids “Littles” Pre-School Team
Pre-school is the perfect time to start teaching basic biblical principles to children, leading them to understand God’s love and forgiveness through Jesus. This is done practically through songs, stories, crafts, and activities.

• Hope Kids “Bigs” Team
At this age we want to begin and continue to build relationships with God and others in the context of biblical community. A more in depth discover begins of what it is to praise and glorify God in their lives using dialogue, discussions, and activities.

• Reverse Student Ministry Team
The process of creating a relational environment where students can develop a deeper walk with God, make new friends, and enjoy life as a dedicated follower of Jesus is the front row seat to life-change. Thru praise and worship, biblical discussions, and living life together there is a real opportunity to impact the next generation.

Connection Group Ministry Team

Connecting people to God and each other is an important and necessary part of church life and ministry. Facilitating biblical discussion, praying for one another, and simply walking through the things of this life together need to be intentional and organized. A desire to love people, and to learn and grow with them is the quality of Connection Group Leader.
Frequency
Schedule varies by group: Weekly, approx. 2 hrs per gathering

Missions and Outreach Ministry Team

• Hope Can Help Food Pantry Ministry Team
Meeting a felt need with food is a major way Hope Church can let the community know we care about them. This opens the door for initial gospel contact and allow us to create relationships that can eventually lead to gospel conversations.

• Benevolence / Hospitality Ministry Team
There will always be a need both inside and outside the church for kind and charitable acts towards church members, guests, and strangers. From feeding a church member just home from the hospital, to taking by baskets to widows, as well as welcoming first time guests to the church, there’s never enough we can do to show the love of Jesus to others.

• Missions Ministry Team
Reaching people beyond our immediate community is a biblical mandate from Jesus that requires more than sending money to missionaries. In order to fulfill all of the Great Commission there are times when we spend our energy and resources so that people far from our local influence can be helped.

• Local Events Ministry Team
Meeting the needs of those closest to us is often lost in the mix as we reach outward to other cities and countries. Local events and programs are avenues in which we can reach out to our community using biblical community to show people our love for Jesus and each other.

Praise and Worship Ministry Team

In order to help people fully embrace the majesty and glory of God we must create an atmosphere where people can freely worship God through music. Whether it’s singing or instrumentals God honoring and praise filled music helps bring people into a place where their attention is focused on God. This allows the proclamation of God’s word to more effectively penetrate our hearts.

Sight and Sound Ministry Team

In our day and time audio and video means of communication have become the primary means of relaying information. The use of amplified instruments and creative images help set the atmosphere for a smooth flowing service. Also, the use of web based services and websites are the 21st century way of letting people know who you are. With multiple services and locations it takes a lot of time, energy, and resources to make these things possible.

Buildings and Facilities Team

The upkeep of our campus is a constant and ongoing project. From maintenance and janitorial needs in the buildings to grounds keeping the lawns and parking lots, it takes a lot of time and effort to make sure God’s property looks like it should.
